SEL/STEM

STEAM STANDS FOR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART, AND MATHEMATICS.

IT IS A PROBLEM BASED, STUDENT-CENTERED APPROACH TO EDUCATION, GEARED TOWARD DEVELOPING THE NECESSARY 21ST-CENTURY SKILLS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN OUR GLOBAL ECONOMY.

SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) IS THE PROCESS THROUGH WHICH CHILDREN AND ADULTS UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE EMOTIONS, 

SET AND ACHIEVE POSITIVE GOALS, FEEL AND SHOW EMPATHY FOR OTHERS, ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS, AND MAKE RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS.

CHILDREN NEED SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SKILLS TO HELP BUILD CONFIDENCE, ACKNOWLEDGE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES, COLLABORATE, NAVIGATE SOCIAL SITUATIONS, DEVELOP STRONG RELATIONSHIPS AND MAKE BETTER DECISIONS TO BE CRITICAL LEARNERS
 

WE BRING STEAM AND SEL WORKSHOPS TO ALL STUDENT K THROUGH 12TH GRADE AND FOCUS ON TEAM BUILDING AND CREATING COMPASSIONATE WORLD CHANGERS.

STUDENTS WILL WORK IN TEAMS DURING SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS, CODING, CREATING, EXPRESSING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ACTIVITIES. THIS WILL HELP THEM TO CREATE SOLUTIONS TO ISSUES THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT. THEY WILL LEARN SKILLS THAT WILL HELP THEM TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR LIVES AND BECOME A COMPASSIONATE WORLD CHANGERS.
